(13) Hello I have a question. If a mother is pregnant and she aborts the baby, or the baby dies... what happens to the baby?? Does God take it in or does it die eternally?

Hey sorry for the delay,

Of course... we cant judge what will happen to the baby if it dies. The bible says it is only through "knowing" God and his son Jesus Christ "whom he has sent" that one may have eternal life. A baby, unfortunatly, cant make such a decision. But there is hope.

The bible tells us in 1 John 3 that "whatsoever we ask we receive of him, because we keep his commandents and do those things which are well pleasing in his sight." If you are a faithful father of that child, uncle, friend, etc, and you pray unceasingly for it, beliving, keeping his commandments and doing that which is "well pleasing in his sigt," God is capable of answering your prayers for that child. Of course, this does not mean that God didn't already have the destiny of the child in mind, but that he also saw you praying before you prayed for it, answering your prayers beforehand. Even though we know God knows everything, we're commanded to pray anyway, right?

Also, remember those children in Matthew 1:16-18 which were killed under Herod the king? Well Matthew quotes from a prophecy from the prophet Jeremiah. Look up the actual prophecy when you can and notice the context, very interesting:

Jeremiah 15-17
(15) Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, [and] bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they [were] not.
(16) Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy.
(17) And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.

As you can see, although they died before making it past two years old, God promised them that their children will be given back to them one day. So there is hope.

Every situation is diffirent. God knows the heart of the mother. Perhaps she was confused when she aborted her baby. Maybe she was manipulated. Maybe she was truly repentent afterwords. Who knows. God will consider every thought and every action and will act accordingly. He is able to save a child from death.

I hope this helps.
